Dooley & McNaughton Dental Care is a family-focused dental practice that has been operating on the North Shore for 50 years, being one of the very first practices here. We are located in Takapuna, close to Lake Road and Takapuna Beach. Our friendly staff work hard to make you feel welcome and comfortable.
We offer a wide range of dental services and use state of the art materials. These services include check-ups, hygiene treatments, crowns, implants, root canal therapy and extractions. We work closely with some of the very best specialists in NZ if a referral is required.
Adolescent school children are treated for free.

Glenn Dooley:

Glenn graduated from The University of Otago School of Dentistry in 1990 and spent the first year working in Auckland hospitals as a Dental House Surgeon. He spent the next six years in a family general dental practice in west London. He later returned to Auckland, working part-time in various practices, including here in Takapuna, before becoming a partner in the practice with Dr Alistair Bibby in 2000.
He particularly enjoys restorative dentistry, endodontics, and treating children & adolescents. He has a gentle and caring manner, and endeavours to work with his patients to achieve an optimum result. Glenn belongs to the New Zealand Dental Association and the Auckland Dental Association, and regularly attends national conferences and continuing education courses.
He lives locally and is married with twin daughters who are both at university. He enjoys jogging, plays squash & skis in winter if the snow is plentiful.

John McNaughton:

John grew up in Napier and obtained his dental degree at the Otago School of Dentistry. John then worked in England for a few years before coming back and buying into a dental practice in Whangaparaoa. After 15 years there John joined Alistair Bibby and Glenn Dooley in Takapuna and has been here since 2003. John belongs to the New Zealand Dental Association and the Auckland Dental Association. He lives in Devonport with his wife Jill and has 3 grown-up children. In his spare time, he likes to go tramping and motorcycling.
